Resurrection Sunday: The Reason for My Faith

As born-again Christians know, this is the day that we all celebrate the resurrection of Jesus the Christ (Messiah). It is the culmination of many days of fasting for those who celebrate Lent, and celebrating Palm Sunday and Good Friday. This day is so pivotal because it represents the divine nature of God, in the form of Jesus, and his power to resurrect himself and us.

On a very personal note, I feel so priviledged to know that my salvation doesn't depend on my own "good" works, but rather God's undeserved favor and mercy towards me. To be quite honest, it is a constant battle to fight with my earthly desires to do what God wants me to do, but I know that He is helping me...he carries me. I am NOWHERE near perfect, but am being changed little bit by little bit so that I am becoming more like Him. I know you are reading my words on your screen but I hope that you hear and feel my heart when reading them.

I love Resurrection Sunday for all it represents, and for the promise that I will one day be resurrected by Him to live with Him forever! I can't wait! Happy Resurrection Sunday, ladies!!
