The look

SdI have stated previously that there are not a lot of Christian covered sisters in my area. However, there are a few hijabis (Muslim women who wear the hijab) that I will occasionally see when I am out and about. I was wearing the covering that is pictured is the previous post when my family and I went to eat at IHOP.

I was checking my email on my phone while waiting for a table. A couple came in and I happen to look up and meet the smiling eyes of a hijabi. What transpired next was...the look. :-) It was a look and smile of mutual respect and admiration. I was happy she was there. It made me wish that my hubby would be okay with me covering full-time. I wanted to share this sweet experience with you ladies. Keep pressing on!

  1. Very interesting post. I just traveled internationally and Never saw another woman with a Christain covering on for the full 3,000 miles. However, I did get on the plane and fly across the sea with a Muslim couple and she was really checking me out! And I could tell by her smile that she thought it was neat that I wasn't afraid to cover because of my conviction!

  2. Plainlady, I know! It is a beautiful thing to see other women, sisters in Christ or not, who are willing to live life against the strong societal current of flaunting our sexuality. Hurray for Christian women who choose to live according to the Word of God no matter what the world says! Love ya, girls!

  3. :-)I'm 'transitioning' to covering full time as opposed to prayer and 'prophesying...' We live in a very white South African neighbourhood and these folk do not cover.Even the Jewish ladies around us don't, so finding appropriate coverings is difficult. Well done for keeping it simple and modest.
